Position Summary:

Responsible for providing closing support to the Closing department with a focus on either Wires or Scheduling. Reviews reports and data for accuracy and ensures timely delivery of all disbursements and/or signing requests. Ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

Responsibilities: 

  • Reviews daily volume reports and follows up on outstanding items; assists in managing general email inboxes.
  • Cross trains with Team Lead to build relationships and skillsets that result in efficiencies for the department; serves as back-up as needed.
  • Assists in training new staff members.
  • Responsible for receipts and disbursements of borrowers’ and lenders’ funds.
  • Responsible for booking incoming wires to appropriate files.
  • Responsible to reviewing the accuracy of all outgoing wires before approval to release funds.
  • Reviews daily reports for accuracy to ensure all wires were received and sent.
  • Assists funding team lead with banking related issues.
  • Responsible for all signing requests and proactively following up on outstanding items.
  • Communicates with lender, vendor or notary regarding scheduling issues.
  • Assists closing team lead with signing related issues.

Requirements: 

  • Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position.
  • Effective communication with internal departments and clients.
  • Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Basic math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short-term and long-term basis.
  • Ability to make informal and formal presentations, inside and outside the organization; speaking before assigned team or other groups as needed.
  • Ability to deal with complex difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties.
  • Experience in the Mortgage industry preferred.
  • High School degree or equivalent required.
