Job Description:

loanDepot is actively looking for an experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our Information Security Practice. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of both traditional and next-generation security technologies, methodologies, standards, and architectures; including machine learning and cloud-based solutions. The Senior Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for guiding the implementation and monitoring of enterprise-wide information security systems for loanDepot. The Senior Cyber Security Engineer strives to enforce security best practices, policies, standards and guidance to ensure the safeguard of loanDepot’s proprietary data, infrastructure and resources from internal and external threats. The Senior Cyber Security Engineer is required to maintain a comprehensive understanding of services provided by loanDepot and develop relationships throughout the organization to assist Information Security in accomplishing its goals for the company.

 Job Duties:

  • Develop cybersecurity designs to meet specific operational needs and environmental factors
  • Configure resources to detect vulnerabilities to operating systems, applications, databases and the network infrastructure components.
  • Align with and contribute to the Identity and Access Management (IAM) architecture and standards
  • Provide role-engineering activities for various business needs
  • Develop processes and procedures for both technology and business functions
  • Act with sense of urgency when reacting to problems and gaps in tooling and procedures
  • Cross-train with other information security personnel and domains, in order to backfill and backup peers as needed
  • Maintain a professional level of both written and oral communications
  • Mentor junior engineers in security knowledge and experience in technologies and methodologies as it relates to IAM technologies, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) devices, firewalls, proxies, access controls, encryption, networking, scripting, auditing, vulnerability assessments, intrusion management and operations. Additionally, to assist with effective research, data gathering, analysis, metrics reporting and communications

  Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related fields with 10+ years of professional experience
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines and produce quality work in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of Security Methodologies
  • Advanced experience with IAM architecture, design, and commercial solutions
  • Advanced experience with Network security architecture and engineering
  • Advanced experience with Server and Endpoint configuration security hardening
  • Advanced experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as CyberArk
  • Advanced experience with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions such as Duo
  • Advanced experience with operational support for operating systems, applications and networks
  • Comprehensive knowledge of network access, identity, and access management, such as public key infrastructure, OAuth, OpenID, SAML, and SPML
  • Comprehensive knowledge of firewalls, proxies, mail servers and web servers
  • Comprehensive knowledge of networking components, including routers, switches, load balancers, and wireless access points
  • Comprehensive knowledge of client/server relationships
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relational databases and structured query language
  • Comprehensive knowledge of encryption algorithms and ciphers (PKI/SSL)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of malicious code (worms, viruses, spyware, etc.)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multi-tier environments
  • Comprehensive experience with Virtual Private Networking
  • Experience with enforcement of information security policies and procedures. Familiarity with information security standards such as NIST, ISO, COBIT, and associated security controls
  • Experience with security policies for firewall, email, web, and remote access systems
  • Experience with security systems design and maintenance, including architecture, access control, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, intrusion detection and prevention, and event logging
  • Experience with Windows, macOS, Linux, and Unix operating systems
  • Experience with vulnerability assessments
  • Experience with intrusion management and its components
  • Experience with packet inspection / sniffers
  • Experience in forensics and e-discovery
  • Experience in automation and scripting of applications and systems
  • Experience in anomaly detection (signature / behavioral)
  • Experience with event and log correlation
  • Effective team management, time management, and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
